Acne
Your skin is unique, and you deserve the best. We know how debilitating it can be to suffer from acne and acne scarring. Fortunately, we are proud to offer several treatments that will allow you to feel refreshed, renewed, and confident.
Alopecia
Hair loss (alopecia) can greatly impact a person’s self-image and confidence and affects as many as 50 million people in the United States. Hair loss is different in men and women and thus requires different treatment approaches. It is typically caused by hormonal imbalances, but can also be caused by other medical conditions such as thyroid problems, physical trauma, stress, and certain medications.
Keratosis
Actinic keratosis is a skin disorder where crusty, rough patches appear on the skin due to years of sun exposure, which can also be the first presentation of skin cancer. Actinic keratosis mostly presents in patients over the age of 40, but can also occur in younger patients who live in a sunny environment year round. At the beginning of actinic keratosis, the bumps may be so small that you may only become aware of them by touch rather than visibly seeing the bumps on your skin.
Eczema
Eczema, a word literally meaning “irritated skin,” is a chronic medical condition that may require medical management from a dermatologist. Our board certified dermatologists are here to help you manage and minimize the itchy and painful effects of eczema.
Hair Loss
Hair loss can be the result of several underlying conditions, stress, or improper hair care. Many patients request an appointment once they notice that their hair is thinning or falling out, but sometimes, hair loss is not obvious.
Melanoma
Melanoma is one of the most dangerous forms of skin cancer and occurs when pigment-producing skin cells mutate and become cancerous. This form of skin cancer can develop anywhere on the body, and even begin in current moles that have become cancerous.
Moles
Mole removals are common procedures and can be done to remove an unwanted mole for cosmetic reasons or to prevent a mole from developing into a more severe skin disease such as cancer.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic disease that is caused by having an overactive immune system and the result of the skin production process moving too quickly. This sped-up process results in inflamed, itchy skin that may be red or scaly in appearance.
Wrinkles
Our office is equipped with lasers to treat sun spots, discoloration, and wrinkles on the skin. Generally, laser treatments can take between 15 minutes to an hour depending on the skin and area being treated.
