Rounding out the Medlite™’s applications is its ability to treat vascular lesions. It is interesting to note that some lesion that have been successfully treated by the Medlite™, had in fact failed treatment by other laser systems.

The 532 nm and 585 nm wavelengths are clinically successful in the removal of many vascular lesions. Protocol trials have shown these wavelengths to be effective in treating telangiectasia, angiomas, spider nevi, small port wine stains and Campbell de Morgan spots. More than one treatment may be necessary, and pupura, which typically clears within one week, will be evident immediately following treatment.
